Oh my, Gay Ocala, as it turns out rocks. My second night out in Ocala did not let me down one bit. I am starting to fall in love with the friendly folks of Ocala. I have found that Ocala and its surroundings have a vibrant diverse community.
I had the pleasure of attending opening night of Copa and Tropix the new club and Restaurant at 2330 South Pine Ave. The place was hopping and everyone was very friendly and pleasant.
The show was filled with an array of Drag Queens, six in total, and I wasn't able to get all of their names, but they were all fabulous!
I had the pleasure of meeting the hostess and MC, Miss Constance Cummings. I was later told she is why they have Drag in Ocala, a pioneer of sorts. She had the greatest laugh.
The Large circular bar met you as you walked into the club. The Staff and guests were all very gracious. I would like to personally thank Pam for the use of her reserved table. The tables were all reserved and I get that you may want to call ahead for seating. I really like the place, and wish them great success.
Thanks to Stefan, who originally gave us the heads-up on Copa's opening. Oh, and be sure to try their Chili and Nachos when visiting Tropix, the Chili is FANTASTIC! My partner and I had a GREAT time, you're sure to enjoy the staff's friendly hostpitality.
We look forward to returning to Copa and Tropix in the near future. Be sure to check out this fun spot while in Ocala. XoXo, Rose Petal Share Your Opinion. (0 posts)
